Christmas Morning Sticky Buns!

The recipe for these pecan sticky buns was given to me in a Christmas card. It is traditional to make these for Christmas morning. Of course, it is now my family's favorite yummy good treat so we make them once every couple of months. If we had them as much as we'd like to, we'd all need new clothes! Bon appétit!

INGREDIENTS:
2 loaves frozen bread dough
1 large box vanilla pudding powder (cook & serve - NOT instant)
1/2 C butter, melted
1 C brown sugar
2 TBSP milk
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Chopped pecans (or favorite nut) - optional

DIRECTIONS:
Thaw bread dough and let it double in size on a large plate or pan that has been sprayed with Pam. This takes a few hours. When bread is ready, combine the rest of the ingredients (except the nuts) and pour 1/3 in bottom of a tall bundt pan and sprinkle nuts on it. (I like to use a Pampered Chef stone bundt pan. And I spray the pan lightly first.) If it doesn't pour, microwave the combined ingredients for about 15 seconds and stir, then pour. Cut bread dough in small strips and then cut into pieces with each piece falling into the pan until bottom is covered. Use approximately 1/3 of the bread dough. Repeat twice with pouring 1/3 of the ingredients around the pan, adding nuts, and then the bread. You will have 3 layers. The bread will deflate some, but that is okay. Try and make sure that the ingredients are not super hot when you pour them in.

Bake at 375* for 25 minutes (until golden brown.) Invert buns onto an oven safe plate. If the bottom (now on top) isn't quite done (looks a little gooey), put the plate back in the oven for a few more minutes. Remove buns when golden brown.

Pull apart a big chunk and enjoy!
